What Is A Callus?

A callus is a common foot ailment that is a thickening of the skin, often caused by friction from within the foot - a bone protuberance, bone misalignment, or by friction from outside - shoes repeatedly pressing or rubbing. Calluses can be located anywhere on the foot but are usually located on the soles of the feet.
